Simply download them from the <a href=\"https:\/\/mommyspeechtherapy.com\/?page_id=55\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">free downloads page<\/a>, print and laminate them and the possibilities are endless.\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>\r\nI created these speech mats as a fun and flexible way to target speech and language goals but I have used them for so much more. With a little creativity you can use them to help teach virtually any speech and language concept.\r\n<\/p> \r\n\r\n<p>\r\nEach speech mat has 10 holiday themed silhouettes that have enough white space within each silhouette for you to write on. Plus, they are as cute as can \u201cbee\u201d! Pun intended. ;D \r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>\r\n<strong>Holidays that are represented include:\u00a0<\/strong>\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\u2022 Halloween<br>\r\n\u2022 Thanksgiving<br>\r\n\u2022 Christmas<br>\r\n\u2022 Valentine&#8217;s Day<br>\r\n\u2022 St. Patrick&#8217;s Day<br>\r\n\u2022 Easter<br>\r\n\u2022 Fourth of July<br>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n<p>\r\n<strong>You can use these speech mats for any of the following areas:<\/strong>\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\u2022 articulation<br>\r\n\u2022 vocabulary<br>\r\n\u2022 letters<br>\r\n\u2022 numbers<br>\r\n\u2022 sight words<br>\r\n\u2022 reading<br>\r\n\u2022 rhyming<br>\r\n\u2022 writing<br>\r\n\u2022 spelling words<br>\r\n\u2022 math facts<br>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n<p>\r\n<strong>How to Use the Speech Mats:<\/strong>\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>\r\n1. Download<br>\r\n2. Print<br>\r\n3. Laminate<br>\r\n4. Write your targets on your speech mat with a dry erase marker. (If you are targeting articulation write the words you are practicing in each blank space. Or if you have printed articulation cards you can lay one on top of each image.)<br>\r\n5. Practice your targets.<br>\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>\r\n<strong>How to Make Speech Mats even more fun and functional:<\/strong>\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>\r\n\u2022 Place a small candy on each image (next to targets) as a reward for targets passed. For example you can make carrot noses for the snowmen, arrows through the hearts, feathers on the turkeys or easter eggs for the bunnies. This can be a bit more time consuming, but the kids love it!\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>\r\n\u2022 Color images with dry erase markers when targets are passed. Colorful dry erase markers make it more fun!\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n\u2022 Place small game pieces on each image and play a game along side your speech mats. I like simple quick games like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Hasbro-A5640-Connect-4-Game\/dp\/B00D8STBHY\/ref=pd_lpo_21_bs_lp_img_2?ie=UTF8&#038;psc=1&#038;refRID=15CM3Y6G89GJY95T6KMM\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Connect Four<\/a>.\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n\u2022 Use as a place mat and practice targets at each meal or snack. It\u2019s a great way to increase the frequency of practice time!\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>\r\nLike I said, there are so many possibilities! What is your child working on? I bet you can use these speech mats to make whatever they\u2019re learning more fun.\u00a0\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>\r\nMy little ones and I have really enjoyed them and I know you will too.
